in order to seize the development opportunities presented by the “cooperation between china and central and eastern european countries (16 1 cooperation)”, and further bolster efforts to promote shenzhen and enhance the visibility and reputation of the city in key countries along the “belt and road”, an investment attraction delegation led by wang youming, director of invest shenzhen, visited poland, romania and bulgaria from september 19 to 28, 2018. the group also included officials from the science and technology innovation committee of shenzhen municipality and the party working committee of the shenshan special cooperation zone.
the delegation held the “china (shenzhen)-poland (warsaw) investment cooperation exchange summit” in warsaw, poland. more than 100 guests including representatives from the chinese embassy in poland, the trade and international cooperation division, the ministry of enterprise and technology of poland, the polish-asian chamber of commerce, the polish investment and trade agency, the polish rhodes special economic zone, polish chamber of commerce, enterprises and media attended the event. at the summit, director wang briefly introduced shenzhen’s business environment, economic development, technological innovation and enterprise agglomeration. polish enterprises, entrepreneurial teams, scientific research institutions and professional service organizations were invited to engage in business and technical cooperation in shenzhen for the mutual benefit of both sides.

during the visits, the delegation held talks with the president of the polish-asian chamber of commerce, chairman of the polish-chinese chamber of commerce, chairman of the polish lodz special economic zone, chairman of the bulgaria-china chamber of commerce, and president of the bulgarian-chinese business development association to discuss cooperation on a global investment promotion network. the group also visited high-tech enterprises such as artificial insulin producer bioton and research institutions such as eli-np research platform.
