the 2018 china fpga industry development forum was held in shenzhen bay eco-technology park, nanshan district, shenzhen on the afternoon of july 25. the event was organized by invest shenzhen and china electronics news, and co-organized by the china semiconductor industry association and shenzhen bay technology development co., ltd. mr. jia changsheng, deputy director general of invest shenzhen and mr. qiu wen, board chairman of shenzhen bay technology development co., ltd., attended the event. mr. gong chenghe, deputy secretary general of the china semiconductor industry association delivered a speech. the theme of the event was “shenzhen opportunities and challenges of fpgas in the big data era”. experts from the fpga industry, representatives from key enterprises and institutions from the artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, smart wearables, internet and electronic information sectors, members of investment and financing institutions, as well as reporters also participated in the event with the total number of attendees reaching about 120 persons,.
prior to the event, mr. jia changsheng, deputy director general of invest shenzhen held a closed-door meeting with the participating institutions and industry representatives. at the meeting, an overview of the development of the ic industry in shenzhen and the city’s business environment was delivered. ic entrepreneurs were encouraged to invest in shenzhen so as to contribute to the rapid, healthy and sustainable development of fpga and integrated circuit related industries in shenzhen. in addition, invest shenzhen leveraged the event to further promote cooperation with shenzhen bay technology development co., ltd., and appealed to industry-related enterprises to set up operations in the city so as to jointly build an ai industry chain in a specialized park in the city. during the event, invest shenzhen also signed strategic cooperation agreements with china electronics news and beijing deephi technology co., ltd. to strengthen multi-party cooperation, attract industrial resources, explore high-end projects, and jointly promote the development of the industry.
lattice, mircrosemi, gaoyun semiconductor, hme and other fpga vendors, fpga design tool manufacturer alde (aldec) and fpga distributor acromax electronics technology attended the forum and shared their expertise on topics such as fpga industry structure, and trends in technology development and design tool applications and fpga market demand. microsoft, huawei, and china telecom, the most representative companies in their related fields, introduced the hot topics of fpga and ai, networks, cloud acceleration, and fpga applications in vbras forwarding acceleration.
