in order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between shenzhen's industrial parks and overseas institutions, and promote the "innovation & startup express," the china (shenzhen)-australia investment cooperation and exchange conference was held in xunmei science and technology square on august 23, 2016. the conference was organized by invest shenzhen and co-organized by the australian trade and investment commission, consulate general of australia in guangzhou, the australia international trade association & associates and shenzhen zhongzhou science and technology limited. in attendance were mrs. anna ying hua lin, commercial consul of the consulate general of australia in guangzhou, more than 80 representatives from the australian trade and investment commission, and government officials from south australia, queensland and victoria, as well as shenzhen-based companies. representatives from invest shenzhen and australia introduced the development of their respective dominant industries and expressed their intentions to strengthen cooperation in trade, science and technology, education, tourism, and culture. xunmei science and technology square and australia international trade association & associates later conducted discussions on setting up "innovation & startup express".
