on june 15th in stockholm, the shenzhen-stockholm investment & cooperation seminar, sponsored by invest shenzhen, was successfully held in stockholm, the capital of sweden. mr. han xiaodong, the economic and commercial counsellor at the chinese embassy in sweden, mr. per-olof bjork, vice-chairman of the sweden-china trade council and representatives from more than 60 companies, such as mycronic ab, and foreign student representatives attended the seminar.
during the seminar, mr. han xiaodong explained the current status of development among chinese enterprises in sweden and expressed a hope that the two sides can strengthen cooperation in the field of innovative science and technology. mr. bjork introduced the industrial advantages of stockholm and laid out related plans and visions on how to further increase the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides that would provide complementary advantages. a representative from invest shenzhen promoted the advantages of shenzhen's business environment. mr. huang changshan, minister of the general department of the shenzhen municipal government procurement center, discussed supportive policies for strategic emerging industries in the city. a representative from the nanshan investment promotion center talked about the investment environment and policy advantages in nanshan district and the qianhai-shekou free trade area.
marie claire maxwell and asa moum promoted the resources and advantages of hardware innovation in sweden, and said they were looking forward to strengthening the cooperation between sweden and shenzhen in this field. mr. allegra carlson, ceo of billerudkorsnas and ms. linda krondahl, ceo of things, talked about their respective development plans in shenzhen. after the seminar, some representatives from sweden expressed an interest and desire to explore opportunities and investment in shenzhen, while making important connections with representatives from shenzhen in regards to specific projects.
delegation members, including ms. zhang lingjie, investment operation director of investment and development co. ltd. in shenzhen huaqiang high-tech industry park, and mr. lv youchen, founder of shenzhen deheng law firm, discussed how to pragmatically strengthen trade and investment cooperation between outstanding legal institutions, leading enterprises or special enterprises as well as overseas chinese institutions of the two sides.
