on the morning of april 22, the 2016 china (shenzhen) - holland conference on cooperation in innovation & entrepreneurship, sponsored by invest shenzhen and co-organized by the modern business development and research center, the europe legend international convention and exhibition co., ltd. and v2future, was successfully held in amsterdam, capital of the netherlands. guests in attendance included mr. jan de groot, director of the almere investment promotion center, mr. qiu wen, director of department i of invest shenzhen, mr. wang zhiyi, director of the strategic emerging industries office of the shenzhen municipal economic and trade information committee, and mr. bernard, ceo of wss asia ltd. other participants included more than 100 representatives from dutch companies, entrepreneurs, high-end professionals and overseas students.
mr. jan de groot, director of the almere investment promotion center, was the first to deliver his speech. as partner cities, almere and shenzhen are both vibrant metropolises sharing a common focus on sustainable development. mr. jan de groot revealed that the new mayor of almere will meet mr. xu qin, the mayor of shenzhen, and sign a sister city agreement in the chinese city at the end of may.
the next speech was made by the representative from invest shenzhen. as the nation's youngest and the most dynamic city with the strongest potential for scientific and technological innovation, shenzhen is becoming the most sought out market in china for investors from all over the world. the aim of the conference was to establish a platform for improving investment and cooperation between holland, its neighboring countries and shenzhen. invest shenzhen also introduced the city’s excellent environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting it as the best destination for dutch entrepreneurs and start-ups due to its industrial base and government policies.
v2future, a leading dutch business consultancy and sales and marketing outsourcing company, shared its experiences in cooperating with chinese enterprises at the conference. as a professional consultancy company, v2future focuses on china-based enterprises and investors with a global business vision or european companies aiming to develop their business in china. for v2future, the abundant business resources and preferential policies in shenzhen can be of great help. during the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by invest shenzhen and v2future for the close cooperation on the "shenzhen-german innovation and entrepreneurship express".
wss asia ltd. and bsur group, two entrepreneurial teams from holland, were next up to present their project roadshows. wss asia ltd. is a waste treatment company, whose waste disposal system has been perfected in europe and is currently running several trial projects in hong kong. bsur group is a company specializing in "sponge city" technologies. through promotion and publicity, wss and bsur hope to introduce and share their experience and technologies in china and improve the nation's environment. the conference enabled wss and bsur to establish a communication channel with invest shenzhen in the hope of launching their respective projects in the city.
representatives from both political and commercial circles in the netherlands were drawn by the favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship in shenzhen and the great potential for cooperation between chinese and dutch enterprises to participate in the conference. many companies from holland like v2future, wss asia ltd. and bsur group expressed strong interest in investing in and cooperating with companies in shenzhen and had discussions with business representatives.
