invest shenzhen and deloitte china jointly held the shenzhen-russia investment project seminar in shenzhen on november 27. more than 40 companies including china aerospace science and technology corporation, bgi and rapoo evaluated investment projects in sectors that included transport, infrastructure, construction and manufacturing from eight states in russia such as samara, tulskaya oblast, yaroslavl and ulyanov. currently, china is russia's largest trading partner, and since the chinese government set forward the collaborative development strategy in 2013, russia has also emerged as an important strategic partner in driving the chinese economy.
in 2008, shenzhen and samara became friendship cities. over the past seven years, shenzhen and samara have established extensive and in-depth cooperation in fields including economy, trade, science and technology, education and culture. in 2014, the people's government of shenzhen municipality partnered with moscow state university and the beijing institute of technology to set up higher education institutes and develop high-end professionals for both chinese and russian economic growth while facilitating sino-russia cooperation in culture, education and science.
