on november 18, wang youming, director of invest shenzhen met with the delegation led by denis grisel, chief of the switzerland-based bern economic development agency. both sides outlined the development status of shenzhen and bern and exchanged views on promoting cooperation in sectors including precision manufacturing, vocational education and cultural tourism.
both parties indicated that the friendship between shenzhen and bern will help increase communication and information sharing, and have agreed to sponsor visits and seminars to step up communication and cooperation between enterprises. located in western switzerland, bern is the largest state in switzerland, second only to zurich. main industries include telecom and precision manufacturing. shenzhen and bern became sister cities in february 2015.
