on july 15, the “silicon valley mayors’ china trip & announcement of galaxy world’s business alliance” was held in shenzhen. jia changsheng, deputy director general of invest shenzhen, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech. also present at the event were the silicon valley mayors delegation from california, the commercial counselor from the us consulate general in guangzhou, and representatives of chinese and foreign enterprises.
in his speech, mr. jia changsheng used three keywords – “the youngest”, "the most special” and “the most innovative” to describe shenzhen’s development status and investment environment and looked ahead to a bright future of more and deeper cooperation with silicon valley, which generated strong responses among foreign representatives. mr. jia also spoke with two representatives of silicon valley mayors david haubert and m. catherine carlton, and academicians of the chinese academy of engineering, xu yangsheng and gao wen. they discussed the successful experience of the “silicon valley model” and opportunities for cooperation between the valley and shenzhen.
