on july 1, a bavarian delegation led by mr. hans-joachim heusler, managing director of bayern international visited invest shenzhen. both sides exchanged views on issues including promoting investment, encouraging innovative businesses and supporting smes.
jia changsheng, the deputy director general of invest shenzhen, welcomed mr. heusler and introduced the economic and social development status of shenzhen and new measures taken to develop the market economy and support innovative businesses. mr. heusler indicated that the visit was aimed at promoting mutual investment between bavaria and shenzhen and introduced the cluster strategy organizing strategy. he added that bayern international may combine german technologies with local marketing strategies to promote the cooperation in the future. both sides exchanged views on strengthening communication between the two governments, industrial parks and enterprises and building a direct cooperation channel between shenzhen and bavaria in innovative businesses.
over recent years, invest shenzhen has attached great importance to the state of bavaria as a strategic partner. in 2012, invest shenzhen proposed a visit by the shenzhen government to bavaria. economic officials from bavaria also attended related activities and signed agreements with invest shenzhen.
in 2014, invest shenzhen and the guangdong department of commerce (formerly known as department of foreign trade and economic cooperation) helped the body set up a branch office in shenzhen. senior officials from the shenzhen government and the governor of the state of bavaria attended the inauguration ceremony. invest shenzhen has also received several other visits by institutions and enterprises from bavaria.
