the 18th cifit event (china international fair for investment and trade) kicked off in xiamen on september 8, 2014. the presenters at the opening ceremony were mr. wang yang, member of the cpc central committee political bureau and the vice-premier of the state council, and mr. gao hucheng, the minister of commerce, who also presided over the ceremony and delivered an opening speech.
mr. jia changsheng, deputy director of invest shenzhen, led the shenzhen delegation in the event. the delegation attended the opening ceremony, and arranged the exhibition booth, investment consulting, and project matchmaking. during the event, investors from all parts of the world visited our booth, and the staff introduced the advantages of investing in shenzhen and answered questions.
along with introducing the favorable business environment and communicating with investors, the delegation made strident efforts to promote shenzhen. mr. jia changsheng visited the organizing committee of the cifit, the ministry of commerce, the un representatives, and leaders of various enterprises. they discussed cooperation, investing in shenzhen, and the further improvement of our business environment. the delegation also visited company exhibitors and participated in the “2014 international investment" and other forums to meet with more than 30 investors, some of whom are interested in investing in shenzhen.
as one of the biggest investment events worldwide, cifit fits well in the domestic and international business environment, and provides an efficient platform to support exhibitions, forums, and matchmaking. the 2014 cifit event presented more than 32,000 investment projects, among which more than 11,300 projects are defined this year, with more than 1,000 from overseas.
