on august 26, invest shenzhen joined hands with the consulate general of great britain in guangzhou and nanshan district government to launch a promotion event in shenzhen for the 2014 "ignite" project of the university of cambridge. enterprise representatives from the city's high-tech park, incubators, universities and high-tech industry attended the event. also present were jia changsheng, deputy director of invest shenzhen; ji zhen, deputy district head of nanshan; andrew massey, deputy consul-general of the consulate general of great britain in guangzhou; and yupar myint from cambridge.
the "ignite" project of cambridge is a compact and open international startup cooperation project aimed to incentivize entrepreneurs and corporate innovators for new ventures, and commercialize the research results of high and new technologies. the project serves as a bridge between the city's high-tech startup enterprises and one of the world's leading universities built by invest shenzhen. it also acts as a through train for the commercialization of technological achievements between the city and the united kingdom. it will introduce the intelligent resources of one of the world's best universities and promote the internationalized construction of shenzhen.
