on april 16th, invest shenzhen met a delegation from the german medical valley and china economic consulting corporation (cecc) which operates under the china center for international economic exchanges (cciee). the two parties participated in a project meeting on the 'german medical valley in chinese cities.'
the development and reform commission, science and technology innovation commission, urban planning land and resources commission, health and family planning commission, bureau of civil affairs, and representatives from the longgang and dapeng districts of shenzhen municipality attended the meeting.
professor erich r. reinhardt, board chairman of the german medical valley, introduced his institution and proposed ideas for the project in shenzhen. cecc general manager han yihu reported on the current progress of the project, and discussed subsequent action plans with the attendees.
in the afternoon, invest shenzhen accompanied the delegation on visits to districts in shenzhen, including longgang.
invest shenzhen also arranged a meeting between deputy mayor chen biao, professor erich r. reinhardt, and cciee vice chairman wei jianguo on april 15. they discussed the conditions and plans for developing shenzhen's health industry, and shared opinions on the progress of german medical valley in the chinese cities' health industry cluster in shenzhen.
attendees included wang youming, the director of invest shenzhen, and leaders from various departments including the foreign affairs office, the development and reform commission, the urban planning land and resources commission, and the health and family planning commission of shenzhen municipality.
the german medical valley in the chinese cities' health industry cluster is an international project led by the cecc under the auspices of the cciee.
their wide range of expertise and interest in the medical industry includes biotech medicines, medical instrument manufacturing, elderly care, general health, medical education and training, and medical research employing medical valley methodologies. it also includes advanced technologies, various projects and utilizing talent from the pharmaceutical and medical industry in germany.
