the 2013 shenzhen dapeng new distribution investment environment introduction conference was held on november 8 in hong kong. co-sponsored by invest shenzhen and dapeng new district, conference delegates included hktdc, representatives from major business chambers in hong kong and about 100 representatives from hong kong's and shenzhen's leaders in bio-tech, life health and tourist sectors.
the conference focused on the introduction of dapeng's plan to build ecological, biological and life islands, including a development plan for the 6 km2 international bio-valley and 1.5 km2 dapeng-xiasha coastal biological tourist resort. bidding information for the shenzhen marine base and sports'school operator was disclosed during the conference. the introduction of plans and project negotiations at the conference has given industry leaders and institutions from hong kong greater access to investment and cooperation opportunities in dapeng's bio-tech, life health, high-end tourist and marine sectors.
projects introduced at the conference attracted great interest among boc international, a&a media, china world trade corporation, wing hang bank and the litong travel agency, especially the xiasha ecological coastal tour resort and the bidding for the marine school operator. prof lim boon leong from the university of hong kong and senior scientist of huofeng international showed great interest in setting up a biotech project in dapeng, and predicted a rosy outlook for the international bio-valley.
director general of invest shenzhen wang youming reviewed the history of investment and development of hong kong companies in shenzhen, and indicated that dapeng will play an active role in propelling shenzhen's industry transformation and eco-friendly economic development. he also encouraged more companies and institutions in hong kong to operate businesses in dapeng. he added that invest shenzhen will continue to build an effective investment information platform and bridge for companies and institutions and deliver professional investment services.
