on january 30, director general of invest shenzhen wang youming held talks with the delegation led by john longworth, director general of the british chambers of commerce. delegation members also included tang zhili, china-britain business council's president in china, and representatives from british enterprises operating in shenzhen.
during the meeting, wang briefed on shenzhen's economic conditions and data, highlighted shenzhen's outstanding business environment and expressed the intentions of increasing communication and cooperation with the british chambers of commerce. john longworth stated that many british enterprises are deeply impressed by shenzhen's rapid development, especially the qianhai area. through the visit, they intended to promote shenzhen and qianhai area among member companies by telling them about shenzhen’s current status and investment opportunities in hopes of strengthening cooperation with shenzhen and boosting bilateral exchanges in the areas of investment and trade. to enhance their understanding about qianhai, invest shenzhen arranged for the delegation to visit qianhai area after the meeting.
