shenzhen will kick off construction of a dozen road projects this year, a work meeting of shenzhen transport commission was told yesterday.
the projects include renovation and expansion of the shenzhen section of the huizhou-yantian expressway.
the 20-km expressway will be expanded into a two-way eight-lane road. the work will start before the end of october.
in the first half of the year, the commission will start the renovation of nanhai boulevard in nanshan district, renovation of the southern part of shahe west road, construction of yangang east overpass, minle road and a viaduct of the eastern coastal expressway.
in the second half of the year, the city will start three projects, including the urban road project of the meiguan expressway in the south of qinghu, fulong overpass on longlan boulevard and maintenance of hongli road.
as to airport infrastructure, the city will push forward planning and construction of the third runway, and the satellite waiting hall of t3 and t4. the commission will also support airline companies in opening at least five more international routes at shenzhen international airport this year.
