three shenzhen-based companies were on the 2016 list of "china's most admired companies" compiled by fortune magazine (chinese version) recently.
huawei technologies, a shenzhen-based technology conglomerate, ranked 2nd, tencent holdings ltd., a major chinese internet company, ranked 4th, and byd co. ltd., a major chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, ranked 6th.
alibaba group holding ltd. took the crown.
"2015 is the first year of china's "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" strategy. the innovative implementations have spread further into industrial market segments, and the internet has been used to deeply transform traditional industries, bridging cross-border collaborations between traditional enterprises and internet firms," the magazine said.
the list, collected from 35,000 chinese company management candidates' 645 effective questionnaires, evaluates the corporate reputation of large companies that are based on the chinese mainland over nine criteria, including quality of products/services, long-term investment value, use of corporate assets, innovation, quality of management, financial soundness, people management, social responsibility and effectiveness of global management.
