the organizer, shenzhen subcouncil of china council for the promotion of international trade (ccpit), said the two-day fair will be a platform for local business councils and enterprises to establish ties with their counterparts from countries such as latvia, the czech republic, hungary, romania and bulgaria.
vasil danielov gelev, vice minister with the bulgarian agriculture and food ministry; klara jurcova, vice ambassador with the embassy of the czech republic in china; petr kulhanek, mayor of the czech city of karlovy vary; gabor szekely, commercial counsellor of the hungarian embassy in china; ingus rozenblats, representative of latvian investment and development agency in beijing; and consul and government officials from lithuania, poland, serbia, slovenia and macedonia will attend the fair.
more than 650 representatives from 40 business councils in shenzhen such as federation of shenzhen industries, shenzhen association of trade in services, and shenzhen mobile communications association will attend the fair.
the shenzhen trade and culture center in latvia will be officially launched during the fair.
the cee representatives, including presidents from universities, consul and government officials, will visit local enterprises like tencent and han's laser, shenzhen clou electronic group and qianhai free trade pilot zone.
cee is a generic term for the group of 16 countries in central, southeastern, northern and eastern europe.
the newly emerging economies are an important part of the china-proposed belt and road initiative, and the organizer hopes the fair can promote trade and cultural exchange while enhancing cooperation in related industries. the fair is also regarded as a platform for local enterprises to expand overseas.
