more than 160 representatives from 12 countries in central and eastern europe (cee) will attend the first shenzhen cee trade and culture fair to be held at wuzhou guest house on sept. 27.
the organizer, shenzhen sub-council of china council for the promotion of international trade (ccpit), said the two-day fair will be a platform for local business councils and enterprises to establish ties with their counterparts from latvia, the czech republic, hungary, romania and bulgaria.
more than 40 business councils in shenzhen will organize local enterprises to attend the fair. the shenzhen trade and culture center in latvia will be officially launched during the fair.
"there are a lot of opportunities for cooperation between shenzhen and cee countries in the food, timber and agricultural fields," said luo wensheng, executive secretary general with shenzhen sub-council of ccpit.
cee is a generic term for the group of 16 countries in central, southeastern, northern and eastern europe. the newly emerging economies are an important part of the china belt and road initiative, and the organizer hopes the fair can promote trade and cultural exchange while enhancing cooperation.
